We at The Royal George take all allergies and intolerances very seriously.
We follow the Food Standards Agency advice on displaying the 14 allergens on all of our menus. These are: celery, cereals containing gluten (such as barley and oats), crustaceans (such as prawns, crabs and lobsters), eggs, fish, lupin, milk, molluscs (such as mussels and oysters), mustard, peanuts, sesame, soybeans, sulphur dioxide and sulphites (at a concentration of more than ten parts per million) and tree nuts (such as almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts, brazil nuts, cashews, pecans, pistachios and macadamia nuts).
We label these as numbers 1-14 on our menu’s, and the key is always available on the same menu.
We also change our menu and ingredients regularly, if you’re a regular diner with us please make sure you confirm your allergies to us each time, and check the allergen key as ingredients and cooking methods may change.
We ask a few things of our customers:
· Please always let us know at the point of booking, and when you arrive, if you have any food allergies or intolerances.
· If you are allergic to ingredients not included in the 14 allergens, you should always check with staff for information about your specific food allergen.
· There can be a risk of cross contamination, so even if the item you have chosen is not displayed as containing the relevant allergen, please always let our serving staff know.
